A high-quality edgeband starts with consistent material composition. Whether it’s ABS or PVC, the resin should be stable, properly pigmented, and formulated for clean cuts under heat and pressure. Look for edge bands with smooth surfaces, consistent thickness (usually between 0.4mm–2mm), and stable color throughout the coil. Inferior edge bands tend to warp, fade, or chip under router stress, which creates rework and customer complaints down the line.
